For three consecutive years, real-time analytics company has been selected to beta test updates to HEDIS® and IHA AMP certification measures
Interpreta, Inc., an analytics company that intelligently synchronizes healthcare to improve quality, has been selected by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) to be a beta vendor for the third consecutive year for the Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS®) 2020, and Integrated Healthcare Association’s (IHA) Align. Measure. Perform (AMP) Measure Certification season.
NCQA limits its selection of beta vendors to just two for the beta testing program each year. Vendors are selected as a result of their performance in the prior two years of certification testing and by meeting criteria set forth by the NCQA.
“Our collaboration with NCQA is a valuable partnership. We’re honored to work with the dedicated team at NCQA to help ensure that healthcare industry vendors produce accurate and reliable data,” said Interpreta Co-founder and President Raghu Sugavanam. “Interpreta shares NCQA’s mission to improve the quality of healthcare. That’s what drives our team to continually be first among vendors to become certified each year and to meet the stringent criteria that NCQA has for its vendors.”
More than half the country’s population—190 million people—are enrolled in health plans that report quality results using HEDIS. The goal is for Americans to receive better care and lead healthier lives due to the accountability and benchmarking that HEDIS makes possible.
NCQA’s Measure Certification is a precise, automated testing program that verifies compliance with HEDIS and AMP specifications and satisfies the source code review portion of the NCQA HEDIS Compliance Audit and AMP compliance review respectively.
NCQA is an independent, not-for-profit organization dedicated to assessing and reporting on the quality of managed care plans, managed behavioral healthcare organizations, preferred provider organizations, new health plans, physician organizations, credentials verification organizations, disease management programs, and other health-related programs. Since its introduction in 1993, the Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS®) has evolved to become the gold standard in managed care performance measurement.
